Today I was at the mall and decided to stop by Gymboree. I was shocked to see that everything in their store was $12.99 and under! I have never seen a sale like that at Gymboree before. One of the ladies who work their told me that the sale is going on until next Sunday. So if you like Gymboree, get there soon. I doubt they'll have a good selection by next Sunday. I lucked out today. I don't know when it started, but they weren't very busy when I got there.
Anyway, I stopped by JoAnn's today and I got some pretty good deals there too. They have their flannel marked down to $2.50/yd which is awesome for me because I want to make some burp cloths. I bought some Warm n' Natural batting at 40% off too.
I then went to Hobby Lobby to see if I could find flower petals because I saw a really cute idea for a backpack. I can't wait to do that project!
Here is a list of projects I plan to get done in the next few days/weeks:
Flower Petal Backpack
Burp Cloths
Child's Apron
Summer Bag for me!
I promise I will get to sewing soon! Right now there are just so many other things that have to be done, unfortunately my craft or sewing time falls to the bottom of the list.
I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Deals of the Week
I needed to get some new bedding so I headed to the mall. Before I went, I looked at JC Penney's website because I had a coupon that they mailed me for $15 off of any purchase of $15 or more. So I looked at their ad and they had bedding and clothes on sale for prices that are cheaper than their usual sales. But what made it even better was the $10 off coupon of any purchase $25 or more. I printed one out and when I walked into the store I picked up a few more. Here's what I got:
Key:
(Full Price, Sale Price, Price after Coupon)
2 Twin 300 thread count sheet sets ($80, $36, $26)
1 Twin quilt with pillow sham ($100, $40, $30)
1 Twin bedskirt ($40, $25, $15)
1 Twin mattress cover ($40, $20, $5)
2 pairs of men's pants ($120, $60, $40)
Full price of all of these items was $380 without tax.
Sale price was $180.95
Price after coupons was $115.95 that's $65 in coupons.
Total Savings 70% if I did my math right.
I was pretty impressed with myself for this shopping trip.

Deals of the Week
I am so excited to post my deals that I got today. I saw in my local ad that they have the following sale...
"Buy any Dove, Suave, Axe, or Vaseline Intensive Care totaling $15 or more and save $5 instantly". So I'm looking through my coupons and I see in last weeks newspaper they have coupons for a lot of this stuff. My hubby and I probably won't be needing anymore bodywash, lotion, or deoderants for a while! On my last shopping trip I got 2 bottles of Oil of Olay bodywashes for free, I also have 2 bottles of Oil of Olay lotions (free) and either 3 or 6 bottles of Vaseline Intensive Care lotion from a shopping trip I posted on a couple of weeks ago. I had to ring this up in 3 seperate orders which worked out to my advantage because after the first purchase I got a $3 off coupon which I used on the next order and after that order I got another $3 off your next purchase which I used on my third order. I figured that I have saved 62%!!! That's crazy! Anyway here are today's deals:
For Me:
2 Dove deoderants ($4.59 minus $1 coupon), Dove shampoo and conditioner ($6 minus $1 coupon), Dove body wash ($5.29 minus $1 coupon), Dove 6 pack bar soap (was $7.29 on sale for $5.29 minus $1 coupon).
For Hubby:
2 Suave shampoo and conditioner in one ($5.60 minus $1 coupon), 3 Dove for Men deoderants ($10.50 minus $1 coupon), 3 Suave Men's bodywashes ($5.79 on sale plus buy two get one free coupon so the computer took off $2), 2 Dove for Men bodywashes ($6.60 minus $1 coupon).
OK. So then this is when the magic happened. $5 was automatically taken off of each order totaling $15 off the bat, plus 2 $3 off your next purchase coupons is another $6 saved, plus all of my coupons totaling $9 is a savings of $30 and finally add in sale prices (which I didn't include the regular prices above except for the bar soaps) and that's another $6! AWESOME!!!
So here's the rundown:
5 Men's bodywashes
1 Women's bodywash
6 bars of soap
2 Women's deoderant
3 Men's deoderant
2 shampoo's and conditioner's in one
1 shampoo for me
1 conditioner for me
Total cost: $22. Would have paid $58 full price. And remember this is name brand stuff, not store brand. I think that's pretty impressive! That's like $1.38 per item!
If you smell anything clean around here it's just me and my hubby! LOL!!! :)

Beat This!
For those who know me (or Apple) personally, you know that we love a bargain. Apple posted her bargains last week and that brought out my competitive nature! Here are a few of my favorite purchases from this past week.
We go through diapers like crazy in my house so a bargain on diapers is a must! I saved 48% on the Pampers and 51% on the Huggies. I ALWAYS buy my diapers from Target. I combine manufacturer coupons with Target coupons. In addition I use my Target Red Card for additional savings of 10% (a special promotional card) and their everyday 5% savings. The Pampers were a lucky buy. They were clearanced 30% off! I also had manufacturer coupons for $2 off/box and Target coupons for $1/box. The retail price was $35.99 and in the end I paid $18.96/box. That is a savings of $17.33/box! The Huggies were my best deal. They retail for $19.99 and were buy 2 get a $5.00 Gift Card, which in my view is the same as a $5.00 off coupon. I had manufacturer coupons for $3.50 off and Target coupons for $2.50 off for a savings of $6.00. Add in the G.C. and my 10% and 5% and I paid $9.82/box for a savings of $10.17/box!!!!
This cereal would have cost me $21.94 but with coupons and my other savings I paid $10.80 for a savings of 51%. I never pay full price for a box of cereal. My family knows that if it is not on sale and we don't have a coupon then we will not buy it. Having followed this philosophy, we typically save between 40-60%/box of cereal.
Can anyone beat this?

We also go through a ton of cereal in my house. Target was the winner this week for cereal!
